A quandry for those who've read this tome...a fucked up story? Or, the most fucked up story ever?

I still haven't wrapped my mind around it all and that to me is a mark of Ms. Oates works...she always leaves me thinking, pondering and occasionally scratching my head.

I don't know if I've read any of her things that I can say that I loved, and yet I'm still reading, still waiting. This was a bit how I felt about Hemingway, until I finally gave it up as something worthy of praise, but essentially, not for me. I'm not ready to say that about Ms. Oates yet.

You might actually like Oates...she's a bit of a mindfuck!

Both my flists are pretty small, actually *mourns* I don't get huge numbers of comments ever, even when I post fic.
