First day of our EPIC vacation!
I'm still going through the about 1,400 pictures we took while on vacation. But for now, I'll show you some from the first day of our adventure: Dublin (click pics to enlarge)
We arrived to sunny skies and stress free bus to the city and our hotel. After checking in, we went wondering. We found somewhere for our first Irish food and drink, The Duke Pub.

ajavajunky's first drink at a bar. It was actually my cider, but I needed a second opinion to its precise flavor. We both decided it tasted like slightly apple-y beer, and since neither of us are beer drinkers, we quickly crossed cider off our list of drinks to have more of.
After lunch we stumbled upon one of the coolest streets in Dublin, Grafton St. I turned the corner and heard this song, "Little Lion Man" by Mumford and Sons and it sounded so much like it I thought it was piping from one of the shops--which would be strange as there is liberal sprinkling of the F word throughout it. But no, turns out it was this guy...
He was REALLY good!
The whole street was filled with performers and things to see.
This guy was our favorite. He told us where to go to hear some great music and insisted on taking lots of pictures with us. He also insisted--repeatedly--that Leprechauns were not real and to not fall for that trap. :) But I think he might have been one. How else can you explain how he got my germaphobic niece into this hat that didn't belong to her and she didn't know where it had been before? Magic.
And while we weren't really looking for anything in particular, we did manage to find a few things before the rain started in earnest and jetlag kicked in.
